As you may already know, there are plenty of websites selling high end name brands on the internet such as Alpine, MB Quart, JL Audio and Kenwood. What you may not know is that all of these companies DO NOT authorize any internet sales with a few small exceptions like Crutchfield and Circuit City. If you find gear that is half the normal price you can rest assured it comes with NO warranty from the manufacturer regardless of what the web-dealer says. It may be refurbished, repaired and/or not even work right out of the box. Since all manufacturers track illegal internet sales you will find the original serial number may have been removed and replaced with a proprietary serial number from the web-dealer. At least 90% of the internet purchased gear we see has some sort of problem and all you can hope is the unscrupulous website operator will provide you with a refund. Despite all of this, some people still insist on learning the hard way. Automotive electronics are far too complex to be purchasing on the internet anyway. Safe & Sound has experts waiting to hear from you right now so why are you screwing around on the internet when you could just contact us or call with your questions. Wouldn’t you rather have an MECP certified pro help you with your choices rather than guessing and buying product you may not even need?
